Dear MRC Family,
A blessed Holy Triduum to you
In our Lenten devotional — Tell Me Something Good from A Sanctified Art — we began with ashes, remembering our humanity and mortality. As the days went by, we sought to “remember that the good news really is good news.” We have learned each week during Lent that the good news is . . .
all are invited
so good it catches us by surprise
great love for God & neighbor
together, the impossible is possible
protection & care for the vulnerable
rooted in justice, mercy, & faithfulness
inspiring us to act
even Judas gets his feet washed
revealed through nonviolence
And on Easter Sunday we will rejoice that the Good News is alive in the world.
So, come and celebrate this good news at 10:30 AM — Christ is risen and alive in the world through the power of the Holy Spirit in us! Know that God’s Love and Life always win over hate, fear, and death. The New Jericho Choir will sing “Easter Medley,” the Joyful Noise Adult Choir is singing “Behold the Lamb,” and we have special guest musicians joining us, Sarah Hanvey, vocals and Andrew Olenik, violin. I will be preaching from John 20.1-18 and my sermon title is When Jesus Calls Our Name. After worship, even though the forecast is for rain, we will still have the “holy chaos” that is our annual Easter egg hunt, just in a more creative and dry location. If you are unable to be in person for worship, we will be streaming live on our YouTube channel, https://www.youtube.com/@mrcafabulouschurchoflove1611. And if you are one of our many followers on Facebook, subscribers on YouTube, or you worship with us online, please consider donating to the ministries of MRC at www.mrchurch.us/give. Thank you for your generosity!
Keep bothering and following Jesus, beloved. And make sure to share the Good News!
In gratitude for the privilege of being your pastor and the holy call of loving you,
Pastor Trish
