Dear MRC Family,

Pentecost blessings to you, beloved of God!

This Sunday will be a joyous day of worship! First, it’s Trinity Sunday. Yes, we will celebrate the Perichoresis — the Divine dance of Love — between “God in three persons, blessed Trinity.” Tom will lead us in our hymns and the Joyful Noise Adult Choir will sing the Anthem “Be Not Afraid.” I will be preaching from Isaiah 65.17-25 and Matthew 28.16-20 and my sermon title is Never Gonna Give You Up. And, in the name of the Trinity — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — we will baptize Leighton Francisco Lee, son of Serina Figueiras and Andrew Lee, declaring, “Child of the covenant in baptism, you are sealed by the Holy Spirit and marked as Christ’s own forever.” Amen and amen!

If you are unable to be in person for worship, we will be streaming live on our YouTube channel, https://www.youtube.com/@mrcafabulouschurchoflove1611. And if you are one of our many followers on Facebook, subscribers on YouTube, or you worship with us online, please consider donating to the ministries of MRC at www.mrchurch.us/give. Thank you for your generosity!

TOMORROW: May 30, 4-7PM, we are participating in the trolley tour and Road to Liberty block party in Middletown to celebrate the 250th birthday of the USA: https://app.seemylegacy.com/community/643/campaign/8835. Did you know we have two Revolutionary War soldiers buried on the church property in the Joseph Johnson Family Burial Ground? Yes, Cornelius Vanderbilt and his son, Hendrick both served. Please note the block party is at the old orchard between Trimbleford Way and Brandywine. As such, Kings Highway will be closed down between those two streets. If you would like to volunteer for an hour at our table at the party, please let me know ASAP. We are excited to welcome our guests through the doors of our historic, beautiful church and to share all that God has been doing through MRC for the last 190 years.

See you tomorrow and/or Sunday!

In gratitude for the privilege of being your pastor and the holy call of loving you,

Pastor Trish
