Dear Middletown Reformed Church Family and Friends,

Blessings to you in this season of Eastertide!

It is my joy and privilege to introduce to you our new Director of Music, Thomas (Tom) Martucci.

Tom is originally from the Scranton, PA area, and is a 2007 graduate of Concordia College-New York (Bronxville) with a Bachelor of Music. Prior to joining MRC, he was music director at Christ Lutheran Church, Suffern, NY for 13 years until its closure in 2020. He brings to MRC a proficiency on guitar, piano, and organ and enjoys and looks forward to utilizing these instruments to enhance worship with a variety of musical styles, both traditional and contemporary. He also is a shop manager for a tattoo shop and receptionist/clerical worker at a surgical institute, both in Brick. He currently lives in Bradley Beach. Outside of music his interests include travel, railway infrastructure, foreign languages, learning car repair, and tinkering with electronics and computers.

Please join me in welcoming Tom to the MRC family as we look forward to the ways he will bless us with his gifts and talents. And a special note of gratitude to our Search Committee — Sarah Gordon, Dan Pannebaker, Cindy Reya, Beverly Bova Scarano, and Izaak Thorpe — for their good and diligent work in the interview and selection process.

Come and continue to celebrate Christ’s resurrection this Fourth Sunday of Easter at 10:30 AM in person or on Facebook live with your church family. I am preaching from Psalm 23 and the Book of Revelation 7.9-17, 21.1-4 and my sermon title is Imagine a City. Tom Martucci will play the anthem, “Salvation Belongs to Our God” and will lead us in our other musical offerings. As this is the Second Sunday, we will receive our Deacons’ Offering in addition to our regular offering to help those in need in our community.

I will see you on Sunday, beloved! Come, let us worship God!

In gratitude for the privilege of being your pastor and the holy call of loving you,

Pastor Trish
