Gather Us In

Dear Middletown Reformed Church Family and Friends,

Blessings to you in this season of Eastertide! I hope you are doing well as we prepare for a stormy evening and an unseasonably blazing hot weekend.

I look forward to being with you in worship this Sixth Sunday of Easter in person or on Facebook live. I am preaching from John 5.1-9 and my sermon title is Being Made Well. Our New Jericho Choir will bless us with their musical gifts singing “Where Could I Go?” with solos by Amelia Caddle and Olivia Hertzog. Tom Martucci will play the anthem, “I Exalt Thee” and will lead us in our other musical offerings.

As a reminder, our Italian Dinner Night for Pride is tomorrow in the Education Building at 6 PM. Adults: $15; children: $5. All of the proceeds will benefit our Pride ministries for the Asbury Park Pride Parade. A big thank you to our Pride Committee and friends who are preparing a delicious meal and who helped set-up and decorate the Fellowship Hall. Also June 5 is Pentecost and Pride Sunday! Please note that worship will begin at 9:30 AM on that Sunday in order to allow time for us to get down to Asbury Park for the Pride Parade. If you wish to march in the parade or ride in the car, please let me know. Additionally, we will have a Parade sign-up sheet in the back of the church.

Whenever I go away, I miss you, especially on the Lord’s Day when we intentionally set aside time to worship our God. I am grateful to be back with you this Sunday as we continue to celebrate that Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! And because of that we have amazing grace, each and every day. Alleluia!

In gratitude for the privilege of being your pastor and the holy call of loving you,

Pastor Trish
