Christmas Pageant -- For Unto Us a Child is Born

Dear Middletown Reformed Church Family and Friends,

Grace and peace to you in this season of Advent!

This Sunday of Advent is the Sunday of love, and what is more love-filled than our annual Children’s Christmas Pageant? The children and teachers have rehearsed and are ready to share with you the wondrous story — For Unto Us a Child is Born written by Nancy Coffin — of three older stars telling the younger stars about that first Christmas night. And yes, there will be angels, shepherds, and kings too! So come to church this Fourth Sunday of Advent at 10:30 AM to hear a very familiar story told in a new way. After worship we will have our church Christmas party, complete with a visit from Santa, his elves, and Mrs. Claus. However, there is a change in venue for the party. Because we have seen a rise in respiratory illnesses, such as influenza and Covid, the Consistory and I have decided to move the party from Coventry House to the Education Building for the health and safety of everyone.

Please remember if you are not feeling well, stay home and watch church online. This is for the health of you and for the safety of others. Thank you for your cooperation.

I look forward to worshiping with you in love this Sunday!

In gratitude for the privilege of being your pastor and the holy call of loving you,

Pastor Trish
